Weddings Turquesa was founded by Abril and Kevin Stolz and formalized into a Mexican company in 2007. Both Kevin and Abril bring distinct experience to the company and to your special event. Abril is a Psychologist with 2 Masters Degrees and what better place to apply her calm personality and excellent listening skills than to a soon to be bride to coordinate her special day. Abril is originally from Mexico City where she also had experience in coordinating events for the political environment. Abril loves the fast paced rythm of being a wedding coordinator, she loves the need to find the best options for each bride to find that special touch that makes ones wedding special. If you ask her Abril will tell you “being a wedding coordinator is not a job, it is a passion, I think you have to love it like I do and study it constantly to be the best and why do something if your are not going to be the “best”.
Kevin arrived to Mexico 15 years ago from the US, a former partner in a Manhattan Gourmet Food consulting firm and restaurant owner looking for some down time from all the stress of the NY rat race. After arriving in Cancun in 1995 Kevin began working immediately teaching scuba diving at the largest marina in Latin America but quickly moved up to manage a sister marina. Not long after the itch of having his own business needed to be scratched and thus Creative Marketing Solutions (a Mexican Corporation) was formed with Kevin at the helm specializing in everything related to tourism consulting in Mexico with special focus on Cancun, Riviera Maya and the South East of Mexico. Kevin owns and manages several virtual travel agencies and has written for different travel magazines and has had his photos published as well as news stories from ESCAPE-C to Travel and Leisure Latin America to news photos on CNN and MSNBC during important news events in southeast Mexico. Today in addition to his work with Weddings Turquesa Kevin continues to do consulting work in Tourism for destinations, hotels and some small businesses.
In 2009 Victoria Guasch joined the Turquesa Team! Victoria brings a special touch to the Turquesa Team as she was born and raised in the Southeast of Mexico and has lived and worked many years in the Riviera Maya in tourism. Before settling to work in tourism here Victoria traveled to many destinations in the world visiting much of central and eastern Europe and even living for a time in the US. She is 100% bi-lingual and knows the cultures of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Victoria is one of our top coordinators, she is incredible organized and very motivated.

The Mission of Weddings Turquesa is quite simple but very important since we will be handling one of the most important events of your life, your wedding. Our goal is to provide our brides with the necessary information and resources and offer the finest locations and service providers so that your destination wedding whether you are planning to get married in Cancun, Playa Del Carmen or The Riviera Maya, whether you are thinking about a large event with 500 invited guests or a small intimate ceremony with just you and your witnesses and no matter whether you want a legal wedding, religious, symbolic or Mayan Wedding is everything that you expected and More. Our goal has never been to “meet your expectations” our mission is to “exceed your expectations”, a philosophy that Kevin brought from his consulting business and restaurant.
