Wedding Ceremony Options Playa Del Carmen & Riviera Maya - Religious Ceremony, Symbolic Wedding or Mayan Wedding

	There are different ways of conducting the wedding ceremonies. The Mexican Caribbean is a very popular place for brides and grooms whether Mexican or foreign to tie the knot on the beach. Having your wedding on the beach enables us to give you whatever ceremony you would like. There is such a diversity in beliefs, cultures, and ideas in the world and we can conform to yours. Your ceremony can fall into three different categories: Legal, Religious, and Symbolic.
LEGAL A legal wedding ceremony requires blood tests and also legal procedures If you are having your ceremony in the Riviera Maya, your legal procedures will be done in Playa del Carmen. If your ceremony will be in Cancún, the paperwork will be completed in Benito Juárez.
	The requirements to conduct a legal ceremony are: - Valid Passport for the couple and four (4) witnesses. This is the only accepted form of identification. -The couple and the four (4) witnesses need their tourist visa. This is given to foreigners who come into México, usually on the airplane if you fly in. For Mexican citizens, your forms of identification are: valid passport or IFE for the couple and the four (4) witnesses. -You also need the results of your blood test. The results can be obtained at any local clinic 24 hours after being tested and the paperwork does not need to be translated into spanish. -The license and ceremony can be executed by a Mexican judge. You must visit the judge to sign the papers four (4) days prior to the ceremony.
RELIGIOUS CEREMONY -The religious ceremony is obviously based on your religion. In a Catholic ceremony, you can only be wed inside the church, not on the beach. If you are not Catholic, we can seek out your religious officiant. For Catholics, the bride and groom must have their certificate from their pre-marital course sent to the priest who officiates the ceremony in México. The ceremony normally takes place in a local church and almost always is in Spanish. The religious wedding is only valid if they were registered before a Mexican judge like described above.
	SYMBOLIC CEREMONY México is also famous for its belief in the magic of nature due to its ancestors. In the Maya Riviera there are many symbolic wedding ceremonies, performed by a Chaman who blesses the couple and clears you of any negative energy to leave room for only positive energy, so you are pure for this new phase in your lives. You can also create your own symbolic ceremony, writing your own vows and choose the ceremony that best suits your relationship and commitment. In a symbolic ceremony, anybody can perform the ceremony. If you do not have a person in mind, we can search for one locally that best suits you. If you plan to write your own ceremony and you want it to be officiated by a minister whether religious or not, it is important that you provide a copy for him/her.
